Membership is opened to any Albertan who is of the age of majority(18 years and over) of good citizen standing, who agrees with the Council’s objectives and would abide by its by-laws.

Membership may fall under the following six (6) categories:

Adult (individuals)
Family
African, Caribbean and other African Canadian Associations
Youth, 18 years and over
Sustaining, and
Honorary

Family: Heads of households are eligible to apply

African Canadian/Caribbean Cultural Associations within the City Edmonton may apply for membership to the Council.

Youth Membership: Membership to the Youth Assembly shall be opened to Young Adults aged 14 – 25, inclusive. All requests for youth membership shall be made to the Youth Assembly.

Sustaining Members: During any term, any none member who makes a donation of at lease $ 100.00 to the Council, automatically becomes a Sustaining Member for the facial period in which the donation was made.

Honorary Members: Anyone who makes special contributions to and /or scores great achievements for the Council may become an Honorary Member on the recommendation and approval of the Board of Directors.
