With the end of the school year quickly approaching, there may be some high school, university or college students looking to beef up their resumés as they look for summer jobs. To help students get their resumés up to par, CCACH will be hosting a Resumé Writing Workshop on June 10, 2017.
Hosting the event is Christopher Cyrus, career advisor, interview coach and founder of ResumeAid. Cyrus holds an honours degree in Business Administration with a Specialization in Human Resources Management from Trent University and a three-year business diploma from Centennial College. With ResumeAid, Cyrus supports individuals with advice and tips to develop effective resumés.
He currently works as an employment services professional at Bredin Centre for Learning, a not-for-profit employment centre that empowers and connects people to pathways through education and employment. To give back to our community, Cyrus will be providing feedback on existing resumés along with helpful tips on what employers look for from applicants. He will also be available to answer any questions from students.
The Resumé Writing Workshop will take place at CCACH offices (Basement, 10275 Jasper Ave NW) from noon until 1PM. The workshop only costs $5 which includes light refreshments; tickets can be bought at the door. High school, university or college students can register for the workshop at firstname.lastname@example.org.
