Science Horizons Internship Program

The Science Horizons Internship Program, funded by Environment and Climate Change Canada, provides employment opportunities for graduates aged 15 to 30 in the clean economy. Program wage subsidies help Canadian employers in relevant sectors hire the qualified professionals they need to grow, innovate and help combat climate change.
As a delivery agent for the Science Horizons Internship Program, Clean Foundation will subsidize:
Up to 80 per cent of an intern’s salary to a maximum of $25,000 for youth from employment equity groups; and
50 per cent to a maximum of $25,000 for qualified, job-ready youth

Destination Clic allows young people to travel and deepen their French-speaking culture.
Is your teenager ready to learn, grow and make new French-speaking friends from across Canada? The Destination Clic Official Languages Program (OLP-PLO) can help young people gain self-confidence and strengthen their French-speaking roots.
Destination Clic is an experiential learning program offered during the summer and designed specifically for French-speaking students living outside of Quebec. This program aims to help them develop a sense of belonging, to identify with the French-speaking community and to enrich their oral skills in French.

Mentorship and Resilience Project

The Mentorship and Resilience Project (MRP), led by Dr. Cecilia Bukutu, Dean of Faculty of Science, Concordia University of Edmonton is looking for youth participants. This project is being funded by the Community Support, Multiculturalism, and Anti-Racism Initiatives Program.
The primary objective of the MRP is to assist Black Youths (18+) in establishing professional community connections and enhancing social and networking skills crucial for success in job searches and the workplace. Our goal is to enlist both mentors (Black professionals) and mentees (Black Youths 18+) for the duration of 12 months, spanning from March 31, 2024, to March 31, 2025. Some of the project activities will include in-person and online workshops and mentee-mentor meet-ups. The MRP intends to organize various workshops on topics such as (Interview Skills, Building Productive Networks and Relationships, Employability and Work Cultural Competency Skills, Environmental Change – Race, Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity, Navigating Racism and Discrimination, Volunteerism and Career Development, and Resilience Training).

Students with Disabilities and Required Documentation

If you are approved as a student with a disability (either a PD or a PPD), you may receive $4,000 per loan year to help meet your education and living costs, and you will automatically be considered for this grant on your future applications.
In order to maintain Persistent or Prolonged Disability (PPD) status, students with a PPD are required to attest to their disability status on their application. Those who attest ‘no’ on a subsequent application will no longer be eligible for this grant, and will be required to re-verify their persistent or prolonged disability on future applications when applicable.

Foundational Learning Assistance is a monthly financial award, calculated based on household financial need, to help you pay for: educational costs such as tuition, mandatory fees, student association fees, and books and supplies, living costs such as food, clothing, personal needs, transportation, rent/mortgage and utility expenses.
